NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Two suspects featured in our Crackdown On Crime segment on WECT have been located and captured.

WECT News joined forces with the Wilmington Police Department, New Hanover County Sheriff's Office and Brunswick County Sheriff's Office to highlight some of their most wanted fugitives.

The agencies provided a list of their most wanted suspects and WECT aired them throughout the evening newscasts Monday.

Sgt. Jerry Brewer, from the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, confirms that deputies located and arrested James Michael Lucas Tuesday.

Deputies were able to track him down thanks to a tip called in to a hotline we set up to help officers find some of the most wanted suspects in the community.

Lucas was wanted in connection with several crimes including assault and battery.

Wilmington Police apprehended Paul Wayne Nobles Monday, shortly after he was featured on the broadcast Monday night.

Nobles was wanted for felony larceny. Police said he stole some scrap metal and sold it for cash.
