WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Attorneys will meet in Wilmington Tuesday for training on a new law regarding expungements for people who have committed a non-violent crime.

This law is eligible for people who have committed only one non-violent crime.

A free clinic will be offered at the New Hanover County Library located in downtown Wilmington on March 11 for low income people who need help clearing their records.

District Attorney Ben David says this will help make a fresh start for those who need it and will get them back out into the work force.
