HUBERT, NC (WECT) – A home invasion in Onslow County turned deadly for one of the suspects.

Deputies say Michael Holliday, Jordan Sanford, Brian Bailey and Jonathan Koncir conspired to break into John P. Moore's home on Abbotts Branch Lane Sunday night.

Holliday and Bailey went inside with a 20 gauge shotgun, while Koncir and Sanford waited nearby in a car.

Authorities say Holliday and Bailey demanded drugs and money.  That's when Moore pulled out a gun and told them to leave his home.  Holliday was shot before he and Bailey ran from the residence.

The four suspects went to the hospital, but on the way their car collided with another vehicle on Highway 172 in Hubert.

Holliday was taken to the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune but was later pronounced dead.

Bailey, Koncir and Sanford are charged with first degree burglary, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
