TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) – Tabor City police and the State Bureau of Investigation are looking for the man who shot and killed Dion Durhan Gore, 27, of Green Sea, S.C., Saturday night.
Gore was in the driver's seat of a parked car near Queen Street and West 6th Street in Tabor City when a man approached the vehicle and shot him multiple times at close range around 6:45 p.m., according to a police report.
Latarius Evans, his girlfriend, Khadijah Soles, and her three-year-old son were also in the vehicle.
Following the shooting, Evans drove Gore to a hospital in Loris, where he was pronounced dead.
Tabor City police and the SBI are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect, Chief Donald Dallas said Monday.
