SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -
On Thursday, the Massachusetts State Police's Community Action Team was patrolling in the city.
They told CBS 3 that they stopped 24-year-old Alexis Alicia for a motor-vehicle violation on West Columbus Avenue.
After searching Alicia's car, they seized a .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol, according to an arrest report.
They also recovered oxycodone and about five ounces of marijuana.
Alicia was charged with possession with intent to distribute a class B substance (oxycodone), possession with intent to distribute a class D substance (marijuana), illegally possessing a firearm, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, improper storage of a firearm, firearm violation with prior violent or drug crime, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, police said.
He was arraigned Friday in Springfield District Court.
