First Alert Forecast: Warm weather continues

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The unseasonably warm weather will continue today in spite of clouds and a weak cold front dropping across the area. Highs will continue to run 10F to 15F degrees above normal through Friday. Friday a stalling cold front will bring rain chances to the region.

WEDNESDAY: Morning shower chances will taper, and give way to a fairly pleasant and unseasonably mild afternoon with highs in the mid 70s under a mix of sun and clouds.

THURSDAY: Again expect 70s and coastal 60s at the beaches with low rain chances.

FRIDAY: With the approach of said cold front, Friday's shower chances will spike and a few thunderstorms may mix with inland highs likely in the 70s once again.

WEEKEND: slightly cooler highs in the 60s, partly cloudy skies, lingering showers possible. Early next week high will fall back into the 50s as colder air rushes back into the area.
