Precautionary boil advisory scheduled for Feb. 20 lifted

The affected area between N. 4th and N. 6th Streets and between Harnett and Nixon Streets. The affected area between N. 4th and N. 6th Streets and between Harnett and Nixon Streets.
The affected area between N. 4th and N. 8th Streets and between Harnett and Campbell Streets. The affected area between N. 4th and N. 8th Streets and between Harnett and Campbell Streets.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority has finished repairs to six water valves as part of its "Water Quality Valve Exercise and Identification" program.

A precautionary boil water advisory was issued for the following areas while crews worked in the area:

1) All addresses between N. 4th and N. 6th Streets and between Harnett and Nixon Streets; and

2) All addresses between N. 4th and N. 8th Streets and between Harnett and Campbell Streets.

That advisory has since been lifted and water is safe for consumption.
