WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington city staff asked city council for future direction on traffic planning Monday.

City Staff is looking for input from Wilmington elected officials on how travel can be improved within city limits.

At their agenda briefing Monday, the council heard a presentation from staff on what potential streets, intersections, and sidewalks could use improvements.

The presentation touched on frequently-traveled areas like the intersection of Oleander Drive and Pine Grove Drive as well as the North Third Street Bridge Replacement Enhancements.

City staffers said transportation has long been one of the main concerns of Wilmington residents.
