WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Cape Fear Community College unveiled the new look of the future Humanities and Fine Arts Center Monday.
Construction on the facility started last February, with completion expected before the end of 2014. The building is over 160,000 square feet in total size, has three floors of academic space, and will feature a 1,500-seat performance hall. The cost for the new facility was budgeted at just under $40 million.
CFCC will hold a special Cornerstone Ceremony where guest will have the opportunity to sign a massive piece of precast concrete before it's lowered into place. The ceremony will take place at the corner of Second and Hanover Streets in downtown Wilmington, Friday, February 21 at 9 a.m.
