Boil advisory to be issued for Bolivia residents Tues. morning

BOLIVIA, NC (WECT) - Brunswick County residents on Bud and Gina Streets, off N.C. 211 near the intersection with Long Beach Road, will be without water Tuesday morning and will need to boil water after service is restored.

The Department of Transportation will replace a piece of a water line in the area beginning at 10 a.m. The outage should be about an hour long. 

After water is restored, workers will test the water for bacteria and when the water is determined to be safe to drink, the advisory will be lifted.

The boil water notice applies to water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and other types of consumption. Residents do not need to boil the water before bathing or showering. Residents should store water in preparation for the outage, and tap water consumed during the boil water notice should be boiled for at least 20 minutes.
