U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Tucson sector captured two men suspected of burglarizing southern Arizona homes.
Agents assisted the Cochise County Sheriff's Office in taking one of the suspects into custody Tuesday after a burglary in Sunizona, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release.
Agents on horseback followed several sets of footprints south of the home and found a Mexican national and four bundles of marijuana worth about $80,300 hidden in the grass, according to the release.
Agents were expected to transfer the marijuana to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the suspect was to be processed per sector guidelines, according to the release.
The Cochise County Sheriff's Office was continuing the home burglary investigation.
Agents from the Nogales Sector helped the Nogales Police Department investigate another burglary and captured an undocumented immigrant near the residence.
