Water Line Flushing

The city of Wilmington will continue flushing its water distribution system this week.

Water lines will be flushed from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Flushing is intended to prevent sediment buildup in the city's water lines. Residents are advised not to drink or use water if it becomes discolored during flushing.

If water is clear and water pressure adequate, it is suitable for use, city officials say.
