Downed trees and power lines are affecting morning commuters for Friday, Feb. 14. Downed trees and power lines are affecting morning commuters for Friday, Feb. 14.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Downed trees and power lines are affecting morning commuters for Friday, Feb. 14.

According to Linda Rawley of the Wilmington Police Department, the following roads are blocked around Wilmington due to downed trees and/or power lines:

  • 300 block of S. 2nd St.
  • 3rd St. & Orange St.
  • 3rd St. & Ann St.
  • S 3rd St. & Nun St.
  • 2100 block of Rhodes Ave.
  • Gores Row & Orange St.
  • 711 Darwin Dr.
  • 22nd St. & Burnett Blvd.
  • 116 Dellwood Ct.
  • 2817 Vance St.
  • 137 Central Blvd.
  • 209 S. 6th St.
  • 6th St. & Dock St.
  • 8th St. and Nun St.

A viewer called to warn drivers about a dangling power line on Long Leaf Hills Drive between College Road and Pine Grove.

Traffic lights out at the following intersections:

  • N 16th St. & Princess St.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. If using these intersections is necessary, drivers are asked to use extreme caution and to treat intersections without lights like a four-way stop.
