WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority has lifted the precautionary boil advisory for the Landfall and Middle Sound areas of Wilmington and New Hanover County.

CFPUA crews are still conducting repairs to the water main.

This boil water advisory was issued as a precaution because periods of low or no pressure increase the potential for the introduction of bacteria into the water system.

The boil water advisory was in effect until water quality testing occurred and service has returned to normal.
