Hockey, Speed Skating Take Center Stage in Sochi

The U.S. added one more silver, another bronze and two disappointments to their Sochi experience.

Erin Hamlin became the first American to medal in the 50 years of Olympic singles luge competition, coming away with bronze. U.S. individual sliders had been no better than fourth in the Winter Games.

American Devin Logan won the silver in women's slopestyle skiing, finishing second to Canada's Dara Howell.

But Shaun White fell during his first run of the halfpipe finals, costing him a shot at a medal. He entered the competition as the defending two-time gold medal winner in the event, but had to settle for fourth this time.
