WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – North Carolina DOT crews spent time de-icing roads Tuesday night.
Crews loaded up salt, sand, and other tools during the day to treat bare pavement roads in New Hanover County.
After treating the bare pavement roads, crews will begin treating secondary roads that are crucial to the operations New Hanover County, like 17th Street for hospital transportation.
Crews will provide back-up assistance to Bladen and Columbus Counties if needed.
