BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Delane Jackson, former Bladenboro Town Administrator, was cleared of assault charges stemming from an incident at Bo's Food Market back in December.

According to Jackson's lawyer, all chargers were dropped in Bladen County District Court on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Back in December, Keith Dowless filed charges against Jackson after he felt threatened when Jackson approached him at Bo's Food Market in Bladenboro.

According to Dowless, Jackson repeatedly got in his face and asked Dowless why he voted for the town referendum that dissolved Bladenboro's "council-manager" form of government for a "council-mayor" type.

Jackson later turned himself in and resigned as Town Administrator on December 9.
