CBS has ordered a pilot episode of 'Red Zone' that will be filmed in Wilmington next month.
'Sleepy Hollow' is returning to Wilmington for its second season this spring.
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Port City will welcome another TV show, set to begin filming next month.
Bill Vassar, Executive VP with EUE Screen Gems, confirms that a pilot episode of CBS's Red Zone is set begin filming in Wilmington sometime this March. Production offices for Red Zone are set to open this week. According to reports, the show is from Revenge producer Nikki Toscano. It is about a terrorist attack on Washington, D.C.
Revenge also filmed its pilot episode in Wilmington.
Red Zone will be just one of the five television shows to film in Wilmington this year.
Preproduction is already underway for the second season of CBS's other hit series, Under The Dome, which is based on a Stephen King book by the same name.
Production on the second season of FOX's Sleepy Hollow is expected to begin in March. The show is coming off of a hugely successful first season.
Secrets and Lies, a remake of an Australian crime drama, will also begin filming sometime this year.
And Michael Cera will star in How & Why, an FX pilot that will be filmed in Wilmington this year.
