WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – North Carolina Representative Mike
McIntyre (D) - NC 7th District spoke about the power of prayer at
the 16th Annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in Wilmington.
Congressman McIntyre, the keynote speaker at the event, was
joined by local elected officials and other community leaders to pray for the
nation and eastern North Carolina.
During his speech McIntyre said, "The power of prayer can never be
underestimated. Indeed, prayer knows no bounds. What a blessing it is
to be joined by our region's leaders who understand that true leadership must
be undergirded with prayer and guided by our faith in our Creator."
The Mayor's Prayer Breakfast is similar to the National Prayer Breakfast
that was held in the capitol last week.
