BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Residents along Lewis Loop Road and part of Midway Road will be without water during the nighttime hours on Monday, February 10, according to a news release from Brunswick County.

Officials say the water will be out of service from approximately 9 p.m. Monday until 1 a.m. Tuesday for homes and businesses on Lewis Loop Road and for residents between 1363 Midway Road and 1664 Midway Road.

According to the news release, the water outage will be due to the replacement of a bridge on Midway Road. Water will be shut off temporarily to ensure it is safe to drink while workers connect the new water line.

Officials are urging residents to boil water for at least 24 hours after the water is back in service.

The area will remain under a boil water notice until the test results return from the lab showing that the water is safe.
