Pedestrian killed by train in Seneca County

GREEN SPRINGS, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a Norfolk Southern Train Thursday afternoon in Adams Township, Seneca County.

The sheriff says 34-year-old Bryon Skeel, of rural Clyde, was walking on the railroad tracks just south of County Road 62, just east of Green Springs around 1:40 p.m. Thursday.

According to the sheriff's report, Skeel was wearing headphones and a stocking hat, and failed to hear the train come up behind him. It is reported that the train crew blew the horn.

No autopsy will be performed.
