NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nashville Predators play-by-play broadcaster Pete Weber has been hospitalized in Minnesota after reportedly suffering a heart attack Thursday.

The team released a statement that said Weber underwent a successful heart procedure Thursday morning in Saint Paul, where he will remain in the hospital to recover.

On his Twitter account Thursday afternoon, Weber thanked his fans for the well-wishes and said he is resting comfortably.

Earlier in the day, Preds General Manager David Poile was also rushed to a Saint Paul hospital after he was struck in the face by a deflected puck during the team's morning practice at the Xcel Energy Center.

Poile was awake and talking while paramedics took him to a hospital for evaluation, a team representative told Channel 4 News.

The Preds face the Minnesota Wild later Thursday night.
