STOCKHOLM, February 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Deploy new Online Control solution at Eastern European Tier 1 telecoms operator
Computaris, an R Systems business and leading provider of specialist BSS technical consultancy, software development and systems integration services for the telecommunications industry and DigitalRoute, the leading provider of mediation solutions globally, have jointly announced an enhanced partnership between the two companies.
Following a successful long-term collaboration between the two companies in the mediation domain, the alliance has naturally evolved, a recent significant outcome being the deployment of DigitalRoute's PCRF solution, Policy Control, by Computaris for an Eastern European Tier 1 telecoms operator. The implementation is expected to go live in the first quarter, 2014.
Policy Control is part of DigitalRoute's Online Control solution set, and is a flexible and adaptable product that promotes rather than inhibits changing service offerings and is critical to success for Communications Service Providers who in particular wish to offer innovative services to their customers.
It is built on DigitalRoute's flexible, scalable, efficient, smart and open MeditionZone platform. Other applications in the Online Control solution area include Service Control, which enables telcos to quickly bring new services to market, and Routing Control, which allow them to manage signaling infrastructure in one strategic place, to secure the delivery of services across all your network technologies.
Chosen by the Tier 1 telecoms operator for its flexibility and ability to deliver self-sufficiency, DigitalRoute's PCRF solution also fits well with Computaris transparent and pragmatic approach to business opportunities. Computaris has extensive expertise in the network domain both in Policy and in other areas, a segment in which MediationZone is being deployed to address a growing number of Use Cases including Routing Control and Service Control in addition to Policy. Further, Computaris is also expert in service innovation and real-time environments.
In addition to their technical compatibility, the two companies also share a cultural fit. Commented Johan Bergh, CEO, DigitalRoute, "we are delighted to extend this important partnership. Computaris expertise and position in key market areas for DigitalRoute will enhance the value MediationZone brings to Communications Service Providers, many of whom are already working with Computaris."
Added Dariusz Górczyn´ski, Business Unit Director, Computaris, "We always strive to bring technology value to our customers and we focus on nurturing strong partnerships with elite players from within the industry, as a key enabler for reaching this goal. Based on our background with DigitalRoute, we were convinced that DigitalRoute PCRF solution was a perfect choice to cover the Tier 1 Operator's exigencies. Based on DigitalRoute's highly flexible and scalable product we can easily develop a complex ecosystem of innovative use cases, giving us in the same time the opportunity to achieve self-sufficiency. Together, we can offer significant value in helping operators to manage their increasingly complex networks."
