WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - An extremely complex temperature scheme continues this week. At Wilmington, Monday's high was 72, Tuesday's was 48, and 70 made a comeback on Wednesday! Looking forward, a chilly air mass will regain control of the area for Thursday into much of the weekend and a couple of chances of precipitation will be in the mix too. Details...
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY: Expect partly cloudy skies for Wednesday night and variable clouds for Thursday. Rain chances will [for a change!] stay near 0% in this period. North breezes near 10 or 15mph will promote chilly lows in the mid 30s to low 40s late Wednesday night and cool highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s for Thursday afternoon.
THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY: A disturbance in the upper levels of the atmosphere could wring-out a few chilly showers Thursday night or early Friday. Chance: 30%. Temperatures will generally fall to lows in the mid 30s Thursday night before bouncing back to mainly the lower 50s for Friday afternoon.
WEEKEND FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS: Saturday will feature clouds and a more substantial rain chance. A couple of showers may linger into Saturday night or Sunday but right now that portion of the weekend seems to be trending a little drier than Saturday. Expect highs on Saturday mainly in the lower 50s and highs on Sunday mainly in the lower 60s.
