Southport Ferry rate increase hearing postponed

SOUTHPORT, NC (WECT) – The NC DOT has changed the meeting time of the Ferry Toll Public Hearing in Southport to February 18.

The hearing is being held to discuss possible rate hikes in rides.

At the hearing a formal presentation will start the meeting, followed by an open time for attendees to address their comments, questions, and concerns.

Anyone wishing to speak should register to do so at the sign-in table about 30 minutes before to the presentation. You can learn more about the proposed price increase here.

You can attend the meeting Tuesday, February 18 from 7-9 p.m. at the Southport City Hall located at 211 E. Moore Street.
