WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A warmer air mass will build for the weekend - and with it will come clouds and rain chances. These temperature and precipitation trends should combine to eliminate any leftover patches of snow and ice.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Isolated to scattered evening showers will give way to mostly cloudy skies with areas of fog. Overnight lows will settle in around 50 degrees with a southwest breeze around 5 mph.
SUNDAY: There is a slight shower chance with areas of low clouds and fog during the morning. By afternoon we'll see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 60's. Sunday night clouds increase ahead of the next system on Monday. Lows will be in the low 50's.
THE WORK WEEK: Overall unsettled! Showers are likely Monday with highs in the low 60's. Behind a front it will be mostly cloudy and cooler with highs in the mid 50's Tuesday. Shower chances will be isolated. A spring like storm will impact the area on Wednesday. A warm front will surge through the area and boost highs into the low 70's. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely with this system. Thursday will be the coldest and driest as highs dip into the upper 40's behind Wednesday's storm. Look for partly sunny skies. Isolated shower chances and milder weather quickly return on Friday. Highs should be near 60.
