ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) -

Four men have been charged in connection with a shooting that left a South Carolina State University football player dead last Friday.

Kevin Winningham, 22, of Orangeburg, Darius Frazier, 23, of Cordova, Shannon Davis, 27, of Orangeburg, and Raymone Reed, 23, of Charleston, have been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Frazier is currently enrolled at Claflin University, a university spokesperson said Friday.

Arrest warrants indicate the four traveled with 19-year-old Justin Singleton to SC State on Jan. 24.

Investigators say Singleton was arguing with 20-year-old Brandon Robinson outside Hugine Suites, a student apartment dorm, when Singleton pulled out a gun and fired. Robinson was hit in the neck. He was taken to an area hospital where he died.

The five men fled the scene in Singleton's vehicle, according to arrest warrants.

Singleton was arrested hours later at a apartment complex three miles from the SC State campus and charged with murder.

Robinson was a junior industrial engineering technology major from Orangeburg and played football as an outside linebacker and defensive end for SC State, the university said.

A judge set bond at $75,000 for the four men arrested Friday.

At last check, Winningham and Frazier have been released on bond. Davis and Reed are still at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center.

Singleton, the alleged shooter, remains in jail with no bond.
