WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – One runway at Wilmington International Airport re-opened Thursday afternoon, according to airport Director Jon Rosborough.
After being shut down for more than 24 hours, the first flight arrived at ILM around 3:30 p.m. from Charlotte.
ILM officials said the runways had been closed for de-icing, and they were anticipating them to refreeze Thursday night.
Officials are on duty throughout Thursday night to monitor the situation.
