WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Police have arrested a man accused of robbing two banks within the last week.

Mark Taylor Treanor, 43, was arrested Monday afternoon in connection to two armed bank robberies in Wilmington. A US Marshals Task Force located Treanor in a parking lot on Oleander Drive and was able to arrest him.

The two robberies Treanor is accused of committing happened in similar fashions. On both occasions he handed a note to the bank teller with information that he wanted money and that he had a weapon.

The first robbery happened last Thursday morning at the State Employees Credit Union on Racine Drive. The second robbery happened Monday at the First Citizens Bank on Oleander.

Treanor is charged with two counts of Armed Robbery
