WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating reports of a robbery at the First Citizens Bank on Oleander Drive.

According to Lt. M.C. Green with WPD, a man in his 40's with a slender went to the bank just before 12:30 p.m.

The suspect told employees he had a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of money.

At least one customer was inside when the robbery happened, but no one was injured.

Green said the man was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and an orange baseball hat.

Wilmington Police spokesperson Linda Rawley says there is reason to believe the person involved in today's robbery is the same person accused of robbing the State Employee's Credit Union on Racine Drive last week.
