SURF CITY, NC (WECT) - The cold weather created a picturesque scene in Surf City Thursday.

Sandy Taylor sent in some pictures she took at the entrance to Surf City Water Works on Highway 210.

She believes the sprinkler system was on and the water froze on a tree.

The chilly temperatures are not going to get warmer any time soon. In fact, another blast of cold air is on the way.
