NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - More than 2800 customers were without power Sunday morning in New Hanover County, according to Progress Energy's outage map.
The areas affected surround parts of Carolina Beach Road, Myrtle Grove Road and Sanders Road.
Progress Energy's website confirms power went out around 6 a.m. and is expected to be back on around 7:15 a.m.
WECT has attempted to contact the power company. No word yet on what exactly caused the outages.
