PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The North Carolina Commerce Secretary along with the Assistant Secretary for Rural Development approved a $750,000 grant Thursday to assist with the construction of a wastewater treatment plant.
The grant is comes from the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA). The RIA is part of the Rural Economic Development Division to assist with improving rural areas. In total over $11 million was given out to help promote rural growth across the state.
