NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Detectives with the New Hanover county Sheriff's Office Vice and Narcotics unit busted a sweepstakes parlor on Van Campen Blvd. earlier this month.

According to the sheriff's office, detectives executed a search warrant Jan. 9 at the Skill Sweep sweepstakes parlor.

The search warrant yielded 29 gambling machines and over $2,000 in cash.

The sheriff's office said people who were at the parlor during the search were also cited.

The parlor's owner, Lee Andrew Tillery, was cited with his second charge for conducting a server-based electronic game promotion.
