NC (WECT) – A locally owned frozen yogurt franchise is headed to Charlotte to
become part of the new minor league baseball stadium.
Fuzzy Peach, which has already opened 40 stores across 8 states, is partnering
with the Charlotte Knights to open its newest location at the BB&T Ballpark
in uptown Charlotte. The store will be open to the public not only during
games, but also throughout the year.
Fuzzy Peach's Co Founder, Jason Nista, spoke with excitement over the new
opportunity, "The Fuzzy Peach is thrilled to work with the Charlotte
Knights as they begin a new chapter in their storied history in Uptown
Charlotte," Nista said. "The Knights choosing to partner with The Fuzzy Peach
shows their commitment to working with and supporting other local, North
Carolina based companies. The Charlotte Knights and BB&T Ballpark are
setting the example for what a professional sports team can mean to a local
community and economy."
The Fuzzy Peach will be located behind the right field area
of BB&T Ballpark. Fans will be able to access the store year-round from
both inside and outside of the ballpark from a street side entrance.
The first game will be played April 11 of this year.
