Zion Toland, the Orangeburg County boy who was killed last week on his way to school, was laid to rest on Monday as South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators continue to work his case.
Toland, 6, was walking across North Road to reach a school bus last Wednesday when he was hit by a pickup truck.
The Highway Patrol's Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team is still working on a more in-depth recreation of the crash team.
Their report can take anywhere from two weeks to several months depending on the investigation. It will include mapping out the entire crash scene from how fast the vehicles were going to their position along North Road.
The Highway Patrol confirmed last week the bus was sitting perpendicular to North Road, it did not have it's lights on and the stop arm was not activated when the vehicle struck Toland.
Questions have been raised whether this was the normal stop for this bus.
Orangeburg County School District 5 has said it will not comment on the matter until after the Highway Patrol's investigation is complete.
