First Alert Weather: A quiet Monday, rain likely Tuesday

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Another quiet day is on tap for Monday with a milder high in the mid 60's.  The next good rain chance arrives on Tuesday.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY: Monday will start off mostly clear and chilly with morning temperatures in the upper 30's.  Clouds will slowly increase during the day with a mild afternoon high in the mid 60's.  Southerly flow ahead of the front will make for mostly cloudy skies and some scattered showers Monday night with lows in the low 50's.   Off and on showers are likely through early Tuesday afternoon with highs in the mid 60's.  Rainfall totals between a quarter and a half inch are likely.  Skies clear Tuesday night with a chilly low near 40. 

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY: The next blast of Arctic cold arrives! On Wednesday it will be partly cloudy with a few showers prior to the arrival of the next strong cold front.  Highs should reach the mid 50's before falling late in the day. Lows Wednesday night dip into the 20's.  Thursday will be sunny and cold with highs in the upper 40's.
 
FRIDAY THROUGH NEXT WEEKEND: Cool each day with lots of sunshine.  Highs will be in the 50's and lows in the 30's.
