TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) – Police are searching for two men who broke into a store stealing an ATM and safe.

Tabor City Police think a break-in at the Vasco Convenience Store near Fair Bluff may be connected to similar break-ins that recently happened at the Dollar General in Fair Bluff and in Horry County, South Carolina.

Investigators say two men broke into the Vasco Convenience Store around 1:30 in the morning.

The pair was inside the store for about two hours, and cut several phone lines in an attempt to disarm the alarm system, but missed the main line which recorded the burglars in the act.

A deadly virus is threatening the crawfish industry in Southwest Louisiana.
