BOWLING GREEN, KY (RNN) – The Ole Miss Rebels rallied in the final minutes of the game to defeat the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 79-74 Monday night.

The Rebels were challenged by the Hilltoppers (8-5) and trailed the home team for most of the first half. Ole Miss (9-3) didn't take its first lead until 3:51 in the first half. With the help of a LaDarius White jumper and a Marshall Henderson 3-pointer, the Rebels took a 39-36 lead into halftime.

The second half saw six lead changes before Ole Miss rallied with less than two minutes left, taking off with its largest lead of seven points. A late 3-point shot by the Hilltoppers' T.J. Price pulled the home team within four points with 13 seconds left, but it was not enough.

Guard Jarvis Summers led the Rebels with 24 points, and Henderson added 23 points. Price was the Hilltoppers' leading scorer with 26 points.

Ole Miss matched up well with WKU in shooting, both completing more than 40 percent of their shots from the floor. The Rebels went nine-of-16 from downtown, while the Hilltoppers went 12-of-28.

The Rebels will host the Dayton Flyers on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
