BELVILLE, NC (WECT) - Charles Bost is resigning as a commissioner of Belville.
According to a letter from the Town of Belville, a special meeting has been called for Thursday, and the first item on the agenda is Bost's resignation.
In a letter to town officials Bost wrote:
Due to increased personal and professional interests, opportunities and obligations, I am resigning my position as Belville Town Commissioner effect January 2014.
According to Belville Mayor Mike Allen, the town will start the process of finding a replacement for Bost at their meeting on Thursday.
He said there will be a 30 day period where people can apply to fill the last two years of Bost's term.
