Virginia, Tennessee both need a quality win in Monday's clash in Knoxville

(RNN) - Virginia (9-3) has won its last two games against overmatched Northern Iowa and Norfolk State heading into Monday's clash with SEC foe Tennessee. It's the last non-conference clash for the Cavaliers before starting ACC play against Florida State on Saturday.

Tennessee (7-4) has never lost to Virginia in Knoxville. The Vols guard Jordan McRae averages 18.7 points and 2.5 assists per game to key the offense. Jarnell Stokes scores 13.6 points per game and is a force on the boards with a 9.6 average. Tennessee is dominant on the offensive boards, ranked first in the SEC and fourth in the nation in offensive rebounds per game with 16, and third in the nation in offensive rebounding percentage at 43 percent.

The Cavs Joe Harris leads in scoring with 11 points per game, while sophomore Justin Anderson has scored 30 points in the past two games. They have held opponents to 37 percent shooting this year, ranking seventh in the nation, and have an 8-4 record all-time against the Volunteers.

The game airs on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET.
