FAYETTEVILLE, AR (RNN) – The Arkansas Razorbacks continued their strong start this season with a 89-48 victory against the High Point Panthers Saturday.

The victory is the sixth straight victory for the Razorbacks (10-2), with their last loss coming against then No. 11 ranked Gonzaga on Nov. 27 during the Maui Invitational.

It is also the 22nd consecutive home win for the Razorbacks at Bud Walton Arena, the fourth-longest home streak in the country.

The Panthers (3-8) never had a chance in a game where the Razorback defense controlled their every move. After beginning with a 13-2 run, Arkansas held High Point to just 23 points in the first half. By the early second half, the Razorbacks put the Panthers away for an easy home win.

Forward Bobby Portis was Arkansas' leading scorer with 16 points, nine rebounds and three rebounds. Arkansas also had three players score in double-digits off the bench and had all but three players have at least one assist during the game.

The Razorbacks went 14-for-17 at the foul line and 34-for-66 from the floor, but only made seven-of-23 of their 3-pointers.

Arkansas is proving to be one of the stronger teams in the SEC and nationally early on this season; the Razorbacks are currently ranked 12th in the nation in points per game (85.8) and 19th in field goal percentage (.493).

The Razorbacks will host the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners on Saturday, Jan. 4.
