In New Hanover County, the health department has received more than 1300 new doses of the flu vaccine. They will be available on Tuesday, October 19 beginning at 8:15am.
Those who are considered high priority for the vaccine will get the shot. High risk qualifications include babies age 6 months to 23 months, people 65 years and older, pregnant women and those with chronic illness. For more information call 343-6676.
In Brunswick County, the health department received an additional 800 doses of the flu vaccine. Health workers will resume giving shots Friday, October 15 at 10:00am.

In Pender County, there are flu shots for children available, but no adult vaccinations. Shots for children will be given at the health department in Burgaw.
