WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Be careful this Christmas, you might find yourself dead.
According to The Centers for Disease Control you have a greater chance of dying on Christmas, the day after Christmas, and New Year's Day than any other day of the year. The CDC says this is true for deaths due to natural causes.
While researchers say this is also true for those who die of the five most common diseases, like cancer, many believe this happens because people delay getting care they need to spend time with their families.
