NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A pair of teens who were arrested in connection to burglary earlier this month are facing more charges.
Detectives arrested 17-year-old Jacob Arthur when a homeowner woke up around 5 a.m. to find the teen in the bedroom of his home on Beamon Lane, located in the Monkey Junction area.
The victim told authorities Arthur told him, "Don't move, or I'll kill you," but when the victim didn't see a gun he fought back against the teen.
The teen ran away, but deputies were able to match the description given because some of his clothes had been ripped off in the fight.
Deputies arrested Arthur at that time and searched his car that had been reported stolen.
Detectives later called in Arthur's girlfriend, 17-year-old Nicole Thoos.
Officials searched the vehicle and found multiple stolen items inside, giving enough evidence to link Thoos to the crimes as well.
