Our new principal and staff of Cape Fear Elementary School did not anticipate the large number of parent and community attendance. We are working with the principal and staff to offer more presentations focused on different grade levels and audiences.
The human capacity of the floor area is 502, 90 designated to the stage. At this time there is no number of actually how many people were in the building for the performance.
According to a parent, some students were moved on to the stage to make room for even more parents.
Newman said that the school would be able to reschedule the program for a later date.
According to Newman, they have not determined whether or not Cape Fear Elementary will be given a fine.
