The story is familiar to many. The quirky Willy Wonka opens his candy factory to five lucky children who find the golden tickets. Little do they know, one of them will inherit it.
Much of the stage version coincides with the popular movies, but there are some differences.
"There are lots of added songs for this version than there are for the original movie," said Quinn Gonzalez, who plays the role of Charlie Bucket. "If you know from the original, the golden geese where Veruca goes up the pipe, they changed it to squirrels in this, which is great because Veruca's dad is actually in the nut business."
As if seeing this story come alive on stage isn't enough of a treat, there could be another in store for the audience.
"You may be one of the few who gets candy, so always be aware of that," said Quinn.
