Florida A&M visits Mississippi State

(RNN) - Mississippi State hosts another team that should put up token resistance Tuesday when Florida A&M visits Humphrey Coliseum. The Bulldogs are 6-2 after a 68-62 win over Southeastern Louisiana last Friday.

The losses have come to the two best teams they played, 71-61 at home to Texas Christian on Dec. 5 and an 87-68 thumping at Utah State on Nov. 23.

The Bulldogs continue to be paced by Craig Sword's 15 points per game – he shoots a solid 57 percent from the floor. Gavin Ware is scoring 11 per game and Roquez Johnson 10.

FAMU is 2-4 on the year with both wins coming at home against Stetson and Florida Memorial. Jamie Adams is the leading scorer with 17.9 points per game. Reggie Lewis scored 11.9 per game.

After a tranquil weather day on Thursday thanks to high pressure, we will see big changes on Friday. Be alert: a strong and moisture-laden storm system will track from the Gulf Coast into the Carolinas and bring a "lion-like" finish to March. The weekend forecast looks great once Friday's storm departs.
