ROCKY POINT, NC (WECT) – Glenn Sellers has announced that he is resigning as the Head Football Coach at Trask High School.
Sellers took over head coaching duties at Trask in 2009, and in his first season led the Titans to the 3rd round of the playoffs, and the programs first playoff victory.
In five seasons on the sidelines Sellers has a 13-35 overall record. This past season Trask was 1-10. Back in 2012 after a 0-3 start Sellers took a leave of absence for the remainder of the season due to health reasons.
Sellers said that his decision to resign had nothing to do with health, and that he is perfectly healthy. "It was time for me to move on. I want to be a better husband, and father. My daughter has two years to go in high school and I want to able to go to her volleyball games."
Sellers will continue to be a English teacher at Trask. A search for his replacement will start immediately.
