WATHA, NC (WECT) - The Friends of Camp Kirkwood has received its largest gift in eight years.

The Mrs. Carl B. Brown, Jr. Donor Advised Fund donated $100,000 to the non-profit, charitable organization that helps develop Camp Kirkwood as a Christian camp and conference center.

The Brown children attended Camp Kirkwood in their youth and have since been supporters of the ministry.

The gift will be used to construct a prayer labyrinth and install a high ropes challenge course and zip line.

Camp Kirkwood is located north of Burgaw in the town of Watha.
